Monaro Crescent Post Office




Located on Monaro Crescent, Red Hill at the Red Hill shopping centre, South Canberra, 8 kms from the City centre, the Monaro Crescent post office opened as a post and telephone office with money order facilities on 15 February 1965. The office was operated by Noelene Mulqueeney. The name was changed to Red Hill (II) on 1 May 1994. Red Hill is a licensed post office.

On opening the Office utilised A.C.T. cut-down Relief date stamp 'STL' until the new date stamp delivered. The office also utilized a Type 3D(ii) ‘ACT’ date stamp recorded between 1964 and 1994.
