Cook Post Office


Located in Unit 6, Block 2, Section 12, Personal Services Building, Cook Place, Cook, at the local shopping centre, 8 kms north west of the City centre, the office opened as a non-official post and telephone office with money order facilities on 7 October 1969, operated by Mrs Willy Blom. The office closed on 27 March 1987.

On opening the office utilized ‘RELIEF 107 ACT AUST’ date stamp. A Type 4A(i) ‘ACT’ post code 2614 date stamp is recorded in use between 1969 and 1987.
