Macquarie Post Office (I)


Located in Macquarie, 7kms north west of the city centre, in the Belconnen district, Macquarie Post Office (1) was established as a temporary official post office on 21 December 1967. It’s name was changed to Jamison Centre post office on 2 January 1969.

On opening the office utilized Relief date stamp ‘125 ACT AUST’. A Type 3E(i) ‘ACT’ date stamp was recorded in 1968.
