Jamison Centre Post Office


Located in the Jamison Centre shopping complex, Jamison Place, in the suburb of Macquarie, 7 kms west of the City centre in the Belconnen district, Jamison post office originally opened as Macquarie Post Office (I) on 21 December 1967. The name was changed to Jamison Centre on 2 January 1969. 

The Office, known as Jamison Centre Post Shop was operating from 8 Jamison Centre, in January 2020.

The office utilized Type 4A(i) x3 ‘ACT’ post code 2614 date stamps recorded between 1971 and 1982. Type 4A(ii) x2 ‘ACT’ date stamps were used between 1971 and 1993. Type 4A(ii)T x2 ‘ACT’ date stamps were used between 1969 and 1994 and a Type 4F ‘ACT’ code ‘1’ date stamp is recorded in 1992.
