Garran Post Office
Located in Garran Place,
Garran at the Garran shopping centre, 11 kms south south west of the City
centre in the Woden
Valley district, Garran
opened as a post and telephone office with money order facilities on 5
June 1967. The money order office closed on 31 December 1988 and
by January 1996 the office was a licensed post office located within the Garran
newsagency.
As at February 2020, Garran Licensed Post Office Shop was operating from within the Garran Newsagency at 3/10 Garran Place, Garran.

On opening
Garran post office utilized cut down Relief date stamp ‘IND ACT’. It later used Type 3E(i) ‘ACT’
date stamp recorded between 1974 and 1991.
