Cotter River

Cotter River Telephone Office

Located 23 kms to the west of Canberra a telephone office was established on 27 October 1950 operated by O A R Lude. The office became a telephone exchange on 2 August 1951. The office provided receiving office facilities until closing on 20 December 1953.

It is believed that the office utilized a Type 3(i)’ACT’ date stamp.
