Curtin Post Office (1)




Located in the suburb of Curtin in the Woden Valley district 12 kms south west of the City Centre, the Curtin Post Office opened as a post and telephone office on 22nd November 1965 operated by P Mitrousis. The Office was operated from Mr Mitrousis' shop in Theodore Street. It subsequently offered money order facilities. On 4th January 1967 the name of the office was changed to Curtin South Post Office.

The office utilized ‘RELIEF 108 ACT AUST’ date stamp on opening and subsequently a Type 3E(i) ‘ACT’ date stamp.
