Mount Domain Post Office




1495 mtrs high and located 32.6 kms west of Canberra in the Namadgie National Park, Mount. Domain opened as a receiving office on 21 January 1907, operated by John Staunton and following his death, wife Frances Ellen Staunton was appointed. On 30 June 1926, Mrs Staunton was replaced by neighbour, Sidney James Flint. The office was upgraded to post office in 1927, operated by S J Flint. The office closed on 15 October 1930.
