Deakin Post Office




Located at the Deakin shopping centre in Hopetoun Circuit, Deakin, 6 kms from the City Centre, Deakin post office opened as a post and telephone office with money order facilities on 15 July 1964. It was operated by J G Hunter. The office became an automated exchange on 19 December 1964. The office is now a licensed post office.

As at February 2020, the Deakin Licensed Post Office was operating from the Deakin Newsagency 4 Duff Place, Deakin.

On opening the office utilized Relief ‘STL ACT’ date stamp and later a Type 3A ‘ACT’ date stamp recorded between 1965 and 1990.
