O’Connor Post Office


A non-official post office was established at the O’Connor Shopping Centre in Sargood Street, O’Connor, next to Sheedy’s Fruit Shop on 1st August 1950 and money order facilities were introduced approximately two months later. During the sixties the office was relocated to another shop in the complex on Macpherson Street and a couple of decades later to the far side of the centre, facing east, off the parking area, off Sargood Street. The formal address is 9 Sargood Street. As of January 2020, O'Connor LPO remained operating from the same location

The office utilized a Type 3(i) date stamp recorded between 1959 and 1995.
